The world has completely changed over the past few weeks and we’re all spending a lot more time in our homes, unable to get together for the type of social event where I would usually perform. So, in an effort to continue putting smiles on people’s faces and wonder in their hearts, I’ve put together four shows that you can watch over the internet on any device.
You may have seen other performers using things like Facebook and Instagram Live to reach their audiences but these platforms have limited amounts of interaction and can’t be enjoyed privately by just you and your friends and family or by your company and colleagues. So I’ve come up with a solution: I use an app called Zoom which is usually used by businesses to conduct meetings and webinars. This means that before the show everyone can see each other and have an actual face-to-face chat, during the show I can see the audience, use volunteers and get people clapping, cheering and generally participating in the show and after the show I can make somebody else the host and leave you all chatting, listening to music, discussing what you’ve just seen and generally doing all the things you’d usually do after a show. Using the Zoom app also means that the show isn’t open to everyone so, if you are having a party or private event, I provide you with login details that you then share with whoever you would like to attend. Basically my online show is as much like going to see an actual live show as it possibly can be!
There are two ways you can enjoy my online show: one is by booking a place at my regular ‘Scoop Magic – Live In Your Living Room’ show every Friday at 4, this is the equivalent of a theatre show where you would be enjoying the entertainment alongside other people and families that you probably don’t know. The other is by booking me for a private show, this can be for a party, a treat for your staff or just for something to watch other than Netflix! I also have a choice of four different shows: close-up magic, stage show, magic workshop and kids’ show so there is something to suit everyone.
If you would like to know more check out my ‘Online Magic Shows’ page and if you have any questions please feel free to call or email. Finally, during this pandemic remember: a smile is also contagious.
